The breeze was perfect on a cool, autumn day such as this. Ripples of water from the lake were soothing him, especially after the long week of school. Teachers just couldn't seem to even slack off a tiny bit and his pent up frustration was starting to get to him. Alex felt a few strands of his hair be blown out of place as he glanced towards the beach from his seat on the edge of the cliff.
Some of the kids from school were playing in the water and a few girls were barely covered in those tiny bikinis. Alex scoffed at their innocence. Still, no point in musing over others when his mind is already muddled from his week at school. He wanted to relax, not get worked up over those arrogant popular kids with their "good looks" and money.
Stretching out his arms, Alex tried making the best of the rest of his day. The sun was starting to go down and it was nearly time to go back inside. Still, he sat there appreciating the view of the water from such a high area.

(I have come to raid your board with Vince. :3)
All of a sudden, the children swimming in the water began screaming from surprise. Abrupt waves seemed to come out of nowhere. Bystanders gaped and parents gasped as the waves swallowed kids underwater. Of course, they would resurface, laughing and giggling and gasping for breath, but that didn't stop their mothers from worrying.
"We've got a shark here!" one screamed.
"Don't be stupid, there aren't any sharks in this lake!" another replied, yet equally stunned. Soon, the waves began to slow until they came to cease. Where they had stopped, a head popped out of the water, most of its face covered by drenched, ash brown hair. The only other things visible were a pair of goggles, shielding the anomaly's eyes, and a huge grin.
It was Vince P. Klein. A few kids from the boarding school recognized him and began laughing, and he joined them. Yet, most remained staring or coughing to get the water out of their lungs.

(( Aw, c'mon. You can't have a cliff board without Tori! ^-^ ))
Tori walked the last few steps, coming to the top of the cliffs. She was freezing in her Speedo one-piece swimsuit, standard navy-blue racer back, hair still wet from morning practice. She set her towel down on the dry, brown grass, and glanced around. There was a boy sitting down at the edge, scowling at the laughing beach bunnies. The water swirled around, causing a disturbance, before stopping with the emergence of a boy in goggles. She let out a sigh, and perched at the edge herself, arms posed above her head. With a grin, she screamed "BOMBS AWAY!" and jumped.
The wind whisted through her ears as she performed a flip in the air before she hit the water, slicing through it like a knife through butter. She opened her gills, breathing in the cool, wonderful water, and swam to the beach, staying underwater. She avoided legs as she got to the shallower waters, and stood, closing her gills once again. Brushing some now sopping wet hair out of her face, she let out a happy sigh. The adrenaline was still pumping through her system. She began to walk back up to the cliffs.

Out of nowhere, the people below started screaming and Alex glanced down towards the beach, snorting when he heard some imbecile shout, "SHARK!!!" It sure would do those people good to get eaten up by one, Alex dryly chuckled to himself. Glancing down towards the beach, he noticed that it was actually his roommate stirring up all the trouble.
Ah, perfect target, Alex thought, smirking at what was to come. After all, there was quite a bit of anger and frustration that needed to be worked off. He had found the perfect target. Getting up from the edge of the cliff, Alex started to make his way down towards the messy haired midget. Out of his peripheral vision, some girl ran past him into the water. Hopefully, she'd miss the water and fall onto the rocks nearby.
"HEY YOU!" Alex yelled at the scrawny boy. "ROOMIE!" The kid, Vinny, or something like that, looked back at him with wide eyes, obviously startled.

"HEY YOU! ROOMIE!"
The voice sounded familiar. His grin disappearing, he removed the goggles, revealing his light eyes, and glanced in the direction where the voice had come from. He nearly choked on the very little water in his throat.
T'was Alex, his dreaded roommate! Vince whimpered and dived underwater, trying to avoid the usual beating. He was having fun. Did his roommate really have to ruin it? He tried to swim faster but to no avail; a lot of his energy had already been used. Please don't let him get me... he begged.

Tori sat down at the edge of the cliff, wrapped in her towel and shivering. She watched in interest as a boy, the very same one that had caused the disturbence, tried to swim away. She sighed, and gave in to her kind side. With a wave of her hand, she coaxed the tides to help him along. She couldn't let the kid, seemingly a bully, catch him. She had had that experience, and wouldn't wish it on her worst enimy. "Swim, whirlpool kid, swim..." she murmured with a frown.

Watching the kid try to swim away, Alex smirked in a twisted sort of joy. Oh, so he wanted to play hide and seek now, did he? That's alright, Alex cruelly smiled, it's much more fun that way. Digging his rough feet into the sand, he plopped down onto the sand where Vince had been playing a few minutes earlier.
He's bound to come back to this general area sooner or later, Alex figured. Why waste energy when Vince can outrun him anyway? No, it's best to just wait and be patient like a tiger crouching down, waiting for its prey to inch closer and closer... The boy can't run forever, after all, and the sun has already started to go down. Lucky me, Alex grinned, we're roommates. He had waited all week for this opportunity; another hour wouldn't hurt.
Smiling stupidly, Alex just stared straight ahead, not realizing that his victim could perhaps get out of the lake through the other side. Still, the boy's towel was here, right? That has to count for something.

Tori sighed as the bully began to await the whirlpool-kid's arrival back at the beach. Should she help him? She had no reason. But it was right. Continuing to manipulate the undertow in the lake to help the poor guy, she walked up to the bully, not feeling so confident, but looking like it.
"Hey," she said, scowling as she stood next to the bully. "What do you have against that kid? He was just having fun."
Her mind was racing to grasp a solid comeback for whatever came, her arms ready to block any attacks. She didn't have much experience in the fighting area, but she knew about bullies. Most had quite the temper. (( Oh my. She does have it in for 'bullies.' This shan't turn out well. (Read: Fire) ))

: AGH! SHARK'S GONNA EAT ME! : Something white and furry leaped out of the water, yelping and charging towards Tori, seemingly recognising the figure as it scampered over. : TORI! THERE'S A GIANT SHARK IN THERE! : The creature skidded to a hault and stood on it's hind feet, reaching the size of an average human and started to pant, the quick run wasted alot of energy.
: Can't you do something? : The creature wasn't yelling at the moment, now scratching an ear with a clawed paw. It resembled a polar bear, though wasn't as big as they usually were. Still, she could put up a bit of a fight in this form. : Please? : It was Kira Bengal, or 'Owl' as most knew her by, though Tori probably had guessed that by now.

Air. Crap, he needed air. The boy started zooming to the surface and, once there, gasped for breath. He had managed to make it to the other side of the lake, far from the mean Alex-bully-person. Grinning at his success, he climbed out of the water.
"Whoo," he cheered, looking toward the other side of the lake. However, his jubilation turned to dismay at the realization of leaving his towel. "Oh, no..." he groaned and sighed. He looked again and then noticed a girl, talking to Alex. He suddenly perked up. He would be safe, as long as that girl was there!
The same, hopeful grin reappearing, he zoomed off to the other side. Noisily, he came to a halt right behind the girl. "Hey, uh," he greeted, smiling. Then, something white showed up in the corner of his eye. He glanced at it and gaped. A white bear. A rather large, furry, white bear. "So cuuuute," he cooed, not realizing the possible danger.

(( XDDD ))
"Hiya Owl!" Tori chirped, stopping the undertow, since the boy had made it to the other side. "Sharks are saltwater creatures. This is a freshwater lake. Hate to rain on your parade, but it was just some guy playing a prank. Whom this guy," she gestured to Alex, who she was standing next to, "seems to have a grudge against."
She glared at the guy next to her. "And I was just asking why."

Alex was stumped. Was he supposed to have a reason to pick on someone? No, he decided, if I want to hurt someone, I can just do it. After all, no one tells me what to do. Plus, that nosy girl needs to stay out of other people's business.
Turning his head to look at the annoying twerp next to him, Alex spat out, "What's it to you, huh? You want me to take my anger out on you instead? I have no qualms about hitting girls. Wanna see?" Aggressively, Alex clenched and waved his fist in front of the girl's face.
Now that would teach her to mess with him. Didn't she know who he was? He was king of the school, no, town. No one ever questioned his motives before. What idiot would dare to? Except now.

: Eh? Cute? : The polar bear turned to glance at Vince, giving him a confused stare before switching her attention back to Tori, a slight grin on her face despite the fact she now had a muzzle for a nose and mouth. : Ah...Saltwater.... Should have known... :
Kira jumped from suprise as the male approached Tori, threatening her verbally. She turned to face him, flinching as he waved his fist in front of her face. Bad idea, Kira saw the movement and with a sudden over-take of instincts, thought it was food. With something that sounded like a squeak, Kira leaned forward and bit down hard on the fist, almost instantly letting go.
"Sorry..." She muttered, voice barely a whisper as she glanced up at the male. Maybe if she stayed in her polar bear form, he wouldn't recognise her or at least reconsider starting a fight....hopefully...

Vince watched with horror as his terrible roommate threatened to beat up the girl. So rude, so mean. Just downright horrible. He scowled, but anger turned into delight when the polar bear bit the waving fist. He giggled and the laughter increased until he was on the sand rolling.
"F-fun...ny..." he gasped. His stomach felt like it would explode. To some, it could have appeared frightful, but Vince thought it was hilarious. "Hehe..." he grinned as he calmed himself down. "Okay, my turn!" And with that, he charged at Alex and lunged at him.

Alex roared with rage. His dominant punching fist was bloody and it stung like crazy. Oh, someone was going to get it, Alex murmured to himself. He darkly glared at the animal that bit him. A polar bear.. and it spoke? With all the power he could muster, Alex kicked the underbelly of the beast, eliciting a pitiful yelp.
"Serves it right," Alex spoke through his clenched teeth. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see that the girl was clearly shocked at the kick that he threw at the wild brute. Still enraged at his new wound, Alex fiercely punched the polar bear right in its left eye, then its wet nose. He was about to throw a third punch when a dead weight suddenly knocked him over onto the sand.
"ARRGHHH!!!!!!" Alex yelled. He heard some heavy breathing on top of him and saw a mop of messy brown hair. That stupid boy, his roommate, whatever that brat's name is, ran into him. His fist hurt, and to make it even worse, so did his side and bum. Alex struggled to move and throw a punch at the kid, despite the pain in his right fist. Unfortunately for him, he didn't succeed.
